Building Consents

It’s our job to make this process easy. We’ll prepare the Building plans and documentation your council requires for your house design, lodge it with them and have your consent back in as little as three weeks.

Conceptual Plans

We can produce innovative conceptual scaled plans that comply with your council’s town planning guidelines in preparation for your full building consent application.

Resource Consents

We make it easy for you to get the resource consent you need. We’ll provide the documentation, and reports to support your application to your local council.

Construction Plans

We’ll provide detailed construction plans for your building project, even if you don’t need building consent.

Subdivision Plans

Your subdivision resource consent application will require a scheme plan of the proposed new dwellings.

Mentoring and Advice

You can rest assured that we’ll provide the advice you need to manage your own build, deal with contractors and procure materials.

Consultation

We will meet you at your site to look at your property and to discuss your proposed building project.

Brief

We will answer all of your questions. Together we’ll discuss your design brief, the feasibility of your project, the construction costs, and any town planning issues.

Structure

Getting to know your home is a key component when it comes to renovations. We’ll take accurate dimensions to ensure our design considers sunlight angles, outlook, views and anything else that impacts the end result. Understanding how the new build will best merge with the existing dwelling is important too, so we’ll take care of this.

Design Concepts

Your project will commence with the design process giving you detailed concept plans. We’ll work together to turn this concept into a home that works for your family and lifestyle.

Final Design

When your concept design is finalised, we’ll create full building construction drawings ready for your council consent application.

Building

We’ll lodge your plans with the council, and manage the entire building consent process. Once your building consent is granted, you can get started on your build.

      With more than 25 years’ experience in the New Zealand residential building industry, Jared Dacre, Director of Remix Architecture has been designing and managing building projects in Auckland since 1995.

      When it comes to designing, practical building knowledge is a huge asset. The ability to visualise all moving parts of a project and their ensuing sequence ensures a cost effective build without compromise.

      Once your building consent has been granted we’ll be there to offer advice throughout your building project. Whether you’re managing the project yourself or have a project manager, we are happy to make regular site visits to assist where we can. We can also help you with procuring contractors and materials.
